I had an engineer for a father and a crafty mother, so it’s no surprise I grew up with a passion for design. Although my formal education is in both architecture and interior design, I have never had a gift for drawing. In a way, I always felt like an artist without a medium.

Deeply inspired by artists like Chihuly and Frabel, it’s a wonder it took me so long to take up glass craft. Glass allows me to express my desire for balance and color in a new way that is both beautiful and functional. I have been making fused and stained glass for almost 20 years and enjoy teaching it in the Denver area. I am constantly taking on new projects that push myself as a craftsman and an artist.

As a child, my mom called me turtle, partly because I hid deep in my bed covers, but also because I was slow & steady, cautious & methodical. I literally have a college degree in planning. While I still greatly value planning and persistence, I have learned that some audacious dreams only happen with a bold leap. So here I am, crashing forward, a reckless turtle trying to make my corner of the world more interesting.
